I went to the dyno again on Feb 9th 2008 to compare HP reading between two different type's of dyno's. This run is on a DynoJet brand dyno.
The car made 600 rear wheel horsepower.

On January 26th 2008 the car made 566 rear wheel horsepower at 27psi of boost using 114 octane on a Mustang brand dynamometer. Mustang dyno's are known to show lower values than DynoJet brands. I've read they read about 10% less.

There are two issues that made this dyno session bad IMO. One, I should have revved the engine higher because it appears the engine "may" have made more power higher than 6100 rpm. Next time I'll take it to 6500 or even 6800 RPM. The second thing is I didn't have my boost controller set correct when it started to control the waste gate. The boost went to 24 then pulled back to 20 and then went up to 27psi...where it was suppose to be set. I've included a picture of the XFI data log of how the boost looked.

Here is a picture of the data log where it shows the boost rising and then falling and then rising to the proper boost level.

NOTE: Below this was with my 3.8L engine!

The air fuel ratio was not stable during the runs plus the guys running the dyno thought it was spinning. If everything was perfect I think 600+ RWHP could have been seen!
