Modifications

 

 

Block: Stock production 4.3L

 

Pistons: TRW Forged .040 over

 

Crank:  Stock 3.50" stroke reground to .010 and balanced

 

Rods: Stock

 

Heads: Ported stock castings with Ferrea 2.02 - 1.60 valves

 

Cam: Comp Cams Hyd Roller.

Intake lift: .495 with 218 duration.

Exhaust lift: .513 with 220 duration.

 

Intercooler:  Waller Performance upgraded intercooler with rerouted coolant hoses to heat exchanger to help eliminate heat soaking. Aux heat exchanger fan.

Future mods to intercooler: Reroute cooler lines to a ice chest located in the bed. Water will be circulated using a SurFlow intercooler water pump!

 

   

 

Turbo: TE-44 three bolt with .63 turbine housing. 

 

Rocker Arms: Roller 1.6 Ratio under stock valve covers.

 

Intake: Stock, gasket matched to heads

 

Throttle body: Stock with Air Foil installed

 

Fuel Control: KB adjustable fuel regulator, stock ECM with programmable multi chip. 50lb injectors. Walbro 255 pump with 10 gauge "hot wire".

Air Filter Assembly:  9" K&N with 3” outlet. Air filter is completely boxed in and is plumbed to help prevent under hood heat from entering engine.

 

Exhaust: Stock heat wrapped manifolds to help prevent under hood heat.  ATR 3" stainless external waste gate down pipe flowing into a large single 4" inlet muffler.  It then has two tailpipes exiting out the back.  This system has less than 2lb of backpressure and it's VERY quiet. 

 

Transmission: Stock 700-R4 with a shift kit and a 3000 Stall Torque Converter. Oversized B&M pan.

 

Front & Rear Axle: Stock 7.5" housing with stock 3.42 ratio gears. Stock front and ADDCO rear anti sway bar.

 

Tires & Wheels:

Front: 16x8 with P-255-60-16 tires

Rear: 16x8 with P-255-60-16 tires

 

Drag Strip Tires & Rims: Same as above

 

Harmonic Balancer & Flywheel: Stock with Hypertech under drive pulley

 

Gauges:

 

 

Glow Shift Fuel Pressure gauge

Glow Shift 7 color 30-0-30 gauge

Faze AFR  full sweep gauge

 

Misc.: Stock radiator with auxiliary "pusher" cooling fan located behind grill, 160deg T-stat. NGK UR5's plugs, Taylor Blue 8.8mm wires,  Conrad cap and rotor, 1000 CCA Battery located in bed.
